ONLINE WORKSHOP: New competences in the automotive Industry
The Stuttgart Region, located in the southeast of Germany in the federal sate of Baden-Württemberg, is one of the most relevant locations for the automotive industry in Europe and counts as a rare example for a complete automotive cluster.
The automotive sector is by far the largest one in the manufacturing industry in the region. Together with the numerous suppliers from other industries such as engineering, companies from the service sector (IT and software companies, design and communication enterprises) as well as private and public research institutions, the automotive cluster provides jobs for around 200.000 employees.
Due to the ongoing transformation the automotive sector is facing, the work of the EU-funded DRIVES project is highly relevant for the Stuttgart Region and its stakeholders. The DRIVES project is actively working on more than 30 emerging job profiles for which skillset’s descriptions, training materials, exercises, exams and official certificates recognized by the DRIVEs framework will be available. The partnership also developed a learning platform which offers different MOOC courses.
The Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation (WRS) and DRIVES are jointly organizing the online workshop New competences in the automotive Industry to discuss concrete outcomes of the project directly with the relevant stakeholders in the region. In this online event, that will be held on 25 February 2021, 10.00-11.30 CET, you will also learn more about the new job roles, the DRIVES Learning Platform and the training courses offered by the DRIVES project.
